Zane Gardam and Addison Stewart killed in Hillcrest Primary School, Tasmanian bouncy castle accident

Zane Gardam, Addison Stewart Death – Cause of Death: 12-year-old Zane Gardam, a grade six pupil, and Addison Stewart both of Hillcrest Primary School have been identified by family and friends as two of the five pupils that lost their lives in Devonport, Tasmania bouncy castle accident that happened on Thursday morning, December 16, 2021, at approximately 10: 00 am.

According to reports, the children were celebrating the school end-of-year party on the island of Tasmania, Australia when the bouncy castle was blown 30 feet into the air by a gust of wind. Following the incident four of the pupils – two boys and two girls aged between 10 and 12 were pronounced dead at the scene while at least four were taken to the hospital in critical condition. However, further details revealed that one of the hospitalized pupils has also died.

Zane was described as a “gentle soul”

Scott Morrison (ScoMo) wrote in a Facebook post “My heart is breaking for those families and children impacted by the tragedy at Hillcrest Primary School in Devonport, Tasmania today. Young children having a fun day out at school and it all went horribly wrong. I cannot begin to imagine what those families are feeling. It’s just shattering.
I have been in regular contact with Premier Peter Gutwein over the course of the day. On behalf of Jen and I, my deepest condolences and prayers are with the family and friends of the children who lost their lives, as well as with the injured and all those who witnessed this terrible event, including the school staff.
I’d also like to extend my thanks and support to the first responders to this deeply distressing event”.
