Zach Korch, 41, of Shoemakersville has been identified as the victim of the fatal crash that happened over the weekend in Berks County.
It happened that Korch was traveling north on Friday 8th of October, in the Plum Creek Road in Penn Township around 11:30 p.m., when he traveled across the southbound lane in a grass area down an embankment and sideswiped a tree.
The vehicle which Korch was in also hit a second tree that was in a ditch, this impact made the 2005 Ford pickup truck he was driving overturn onto its roof.
According to the report, Korch was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger in the vehicle identified as Tamalasue Lenhart, 28 of Kutztown was rushed to Reading Hospital for the injuries sustained.
Though Lenhart injuries have not been identified.
Authorities say Lenhart was able to get out of the truck and flag someone down for help.
Alcohol was the factor in this accident, as Korch was under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance at the time of the crash.
