Winnetka car accident, 1 dead

Driver dies in a two-car accident on Willow Road in Winnetka

A yet-to-be-identified individual has died in a three-car accident that happened on Monday night, December 13, 2021. The crash occurred at approximately 7:21 p.m. in the 1300 block of Willow Road in Winnetka, Illinois. The individual suffered severe blunt force trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital after being transported there for medical treatment.

According to officials, on arriving at the site of the crash, and found two of the three drivers trapped in their cars. They were both extricated from the car and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment where one of the drivers passed away. No information was revealed about the driver of the third vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.

Winnetka is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States, located 16 miles north of downtown Chicago. The population was 12,316 as of 2019. The village is one of the wealthiest places in the nation in terms of household income.
