WBA Former Players mourns death of Trevor Thompson aged 66

Trevor Thompson Death- Cause Of Death: Trevor Thompson has passed away at the age of 66, according to a social media publication made on Twitter by the WBA Former Players on Sunday 19th December 2021, Thompson was a former player of the West Bromwich Albion Football Club, commonly referred to as West Brom. WBA is an English professional football club based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, England.

According to the tweet by WBA says “It is with sadness we announce the death of Trevor Thompson at the age of 66, a left full back from 1970-76, he joined as an apprentice in 1970, became a full pro in 73, leaving for Washington Diplomats in 76. He played 20 games. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends. Trevor Thompson’s cause of death was not specified in the statement.


Trevor Thompson was a talented player, who became part of the club as an apprentice in the year 1970, and in the year 1973 he became a complete pro, he played about 20 games for the club. He will be missed tremendously. Trevor Thompson’s obituary will be released by his family in due time.
