Family members and friends paid their respects Saturday to longtime Baltimore gospel radio announcer Tyra Phillips Womack, who was killed in a shooting earlier this month.

I didn’t see #tyrawomack trending on Twitter. She’s a black woman who was shot by a black man in her home. Meanwhile, a drunk gets into a fight with a police, steals their taser and gets shot it’s trending right away. I guess some lives don’t matter.

#TyraWomack’s life mattered.
@WEAA889
‘s gospel radio host killed while defending her son. Absolutely nothing about it on this site. Hashtags about a violent drunk who attacked two police, stole their taser and got shot appeared immediately. Such is the state of #BlackLivesMatter

“We are heartbroken about her passing and remember her beautiful, gentle, sweet spirit today.”

TyraWomack, a long time Gospel radio announcer, was fatally shot outside her home in a case Baltimore Police call a “senseless” and “tragic murder.”

@weaa
RIP Tyra Philips Womack. She was not just a postal worker, she was the Executive Secretary for the Baltimore District Manager. We are still at a loss for words. This is a tragic loss. We all loved her, active and retired employees.

We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
