Preble High School Shooting – Police in Green Police have arrested two Preble High School students who they say threatened to shoot up the school during academic hours via social media.

The shooting threat was made via Instagram prompting a heavy police presence in the campus and school premises. A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were taken into custody Monday.

“We worked hard on investigating these and I think everyone should feel safe today taking their kids to school,” will the school district react in this capacity towards every red flag? When these come in we treat them all as if they are a legitimate threat, we go through that threat assessment. We respond accordingly, we would rather overreact to it than underreact,” the department and school district took the threats seriously.”

Green Bay Police Department Investigations Lt. Clinton Beguhn says

Officials say two students admitted making the threats and were taken to Brown County Secure Detention. Police are asking parents to talk to their children about the appropriate use of social media and the seriousness of making threats.
