  Shooting in Durham NC leaves 2 juveniles dead, four injured

McDougald Terrace Shooting – Officials with the Durham police are investigating a shooting-led car crash that left two dead and four injured early Monday morning in the Durham neighborhood.

According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded to the scene located at 510 Eugene Street, near Alston Avenue and McDougald Terrace, at approximately 3:30 a.m. There, they located six persons suffering from multiple injuries consistent with a gunshot.

Two of the victims, identified only as juveniles were pronounced dead at the scene. Other four victims three females and one male were transported to the hospital, where one was listed in critical condition, and others in fair condition.

The routes leading to the scene were blocked from traffic as officials investigate the shooting.

Burton Elementary School closed due to a shooting

Chief Patrice Andrews says the shooting is not believed to be random, hence this is no threat to the public. Burton Elementary School will be in remote learning on Monday, the police.
