Two arrested in fatal shooting near Christmas Bazaar in Pflugerville

John Pearson Death : Officials with the Pflugerville Police Department have arrested two men in connection to the fatal shooting near Christmas Bazaar in Pflugerville.

The suspects identified as 41-year-son Thomas Jackert and 36-year-old Joshua Dry were taken into custody and charged in connection to the shooting death of John Pearson on Dec. 11th. Jackert has been charged with deadly conduct after investigators determined and confirmed that Jackert recklessly fired a weapon that fatally struck 38-year-old Pearson during an altercation.

Dry has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after holding Jackert and his dog at gunpoint outside Jackert’s home on Walnut Street, Pflugerville police says.

Officers responded to Walnut Street and 3rd Street for shots report, arriving officers located a man inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A dog was also shot.
