Singer Trini Lopez Death – Dead | Passed Away – Obituary

Trini Lopez Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Trini Lopez.

Trini Lopez, the musical legend with hits like La Bamba and If I had a hammer, has passed away, such sad news. We met when he was a guest at the Vrijthof concerts, and he was so humble and nice to everyone, he even came to visit me in Cologne. The world has lost a genuinely kind person today, may he rest in peace.

Trini Lopez died. American singer died yesterday from the consequences of the coronavirus. Lopez, discovered by Frank Sinatra in the early s, scored big hits with songs like If I Had A Hammer, Kansas City and This Is Your Land. In the summer of 2013 he performed during André Rieu’s concert series at the Vrijthof in Maastricht. Lopez turned 83 years old.

Really sad news about Trini Lopez passing away. I’d hoped to interview him in Palm Springs in January for @guitar but there was a mix-up and he ended up going out for dinner instead. It was a real missed opportunity and I would’ve loved to have helped tell his story – now more than ever it seems like a powerful tale that needs to be told, but luckily there’s a biopic coming soon. Rest in peace Trini, deepest sympathy to your family and friends. Here’s me noodling around on a vintage Gibson Trini Lopez model back in November – a seriously badass guitar. I should’ve bought this one. #trinilopez

Trini Lopez, an actor and singer who co-starred The Dirty Dozen actor and had hits with “If I Had a Hammer” and “Lemon Tree” — which was referenced in a popular Seinfeld episode — died today in Palm Springs. He was 83.

No one embodied joy and gratitude more than Trini Lopez. We celebrate his life, and his body of work. Watch some Trini performances on YouTube! Listen to his amazing catalog of songs! Read some interviews! We will miss you Mr. Lopez

RIP singer Trini Lopez who has died of Covid-19 at Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs at age of 83. His versions of “Lemon Tree” & “If I Had a Hammer” were even more successful than Peter, Paul and Mary’s on the Billboard charts.

Today the world sadly lost yet another legend, Trini Lopez. Trini not only left a beautiful musical legacy of his own, but also unknowingly helped shape the sound of the Foo Fighters from day one.

My heart is broken. We lost TRINI LOPEZ today from COVID-19. I will always cherish our unique and special friendship. We are completely gutted. We had just finished a documentary on his life. Farewell my guitar hero 🎸

Junius would not exist if it wasn’t for my uncle Trini Lopez, he passed away this morning. He was inspirational, a poor tomato picker who went on to sell millions of albums, he even co-headlined with the Beatles. I remember he would wake up between like 1 & 3pm everyday because his internal clock was on permanent tour mode. He would play Santa every Christmas handing out gifts to all his nieces and nephews and over dinners would tell stories about Elvis or Frank Sinatra or any other old-school celebrity we could think of. So many weird things pop into your head when someone dies. I remember watching him tune his guitar by strumming the open strings (no chord) and tuning it at lighting speed because he had beyond perfect pitch, I still haven’t seen someone do that. His rhythm/strumming was unreal too. He was mythical. You’ve changed the lives of many. Rest in Peace, Uncle Trini. – Joseph
