Below are two pictures of how I will always remember my buddy Tracy Hawkins , the one on the left was T- Hawk at my race , I asked him too be on my radio , he was excited to do so.
The best part was when I ask if we could take a picture together , he said with a grin of course as he was walking away he said I’m (proud of you ) you drove good David .
The second picture says it all ..
This is how much he loved life , family, friends and boat racing.
This is the Legacy he leaves behind to so many younger racers. Many have and are racing today because of The Man we call T-Hawk …
Race in peace T-Hawk…

Today we lost a boat racing legend while he was doing what he loved most- racing tunnel boats. Tracy Hawkins was a great friend to us all & you will be missed by our entire family deeply. We are so grateful for the memories we made together in the past 5 years of racing. You were always there to lend a helping hand and give us a good laugh, you truly were a great man. Forever grateful for this memory and honoured to have had this opportunity to stand next to you on the podium in Mexico. Our pops loved you too and I’m sure you’ll be racing boats together while looking down on us all. Rest In Peace, Tracy. Sending love to his family the entire boat racing community.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
