Timothy Andricks, 39, has been declared dead after being allegedly shot in broad daylight in a quiet Manatee County neighborhood in October 2021.
Just after 11:00 am, two cars pulled over at the corner of 7th Street West and 50th Street Court West, according to officials.
Randy Warren, the MCSO spokesperson says, “One person had gotten out of the car and turned around to the car behind him.
“Then that person got out of the vehicle and immediately started firing multiple shots at the driver of the car in front of him.”
Andricks was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fortunately, the police have arrested Nicholas Koontz, 23, as the prime suspect in the shooting.
Koontz is facing second-degree murder charges.
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has begun investigating.
“We don’t know what caused it,” Warren said. “We don’t know if there was an argument that happened while they were driving, we don’t know if these two knew each other, and there were other things that were going on an argument, an altercation. These are things that we have to spend a little more time looking into.”
