The Marching 101 Band of SC State, Mourns the death of Former Member Daishon Ross

Daishon Ross passed away – Atlanta, Georgia, a former member of The Marching 101 Band of SC State passed away sadly and unexpectedly on Monday, November 15, 2021. Ross was someone with dreams and goals. He was an active member of the Marching 101 Band of SC State, he was known to be a dedicated member of the band who always put his effort to into his team and trains to be better on daily basis. Ross’s cause of death has not been made public at the time of this publication.

Ross is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, he went to East Mecklenburg High. He studied Biology, Chemistry at South Carolina State University. Ross moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in pursuing his dreams as a drummer, he joined the Marching 101 Band of SC State he was doing great. He was loved and cherished by his teammates and also well respected by his coaches. He is survived by his beloved family, friends, and members of The Marching 101 Band of SC State. Though he passed away suddenly, his memory and legacy will live forever.

The Marching 101 Band of SC State express their deepest sadness at the loss of their former band member on a Facebook post, they also said as he is gone physically but his spirit will be forever present. Ross’s best friend Johnathan Hawley also shared a tribute in memory of his friend on Facebook and it read: “What do I say to this, how do I say it. I don’t know what to do. You were/are one of my Best friends D. I can’t wrap my head around it, don’t want to believe it. I’m sorry Daishon Ross. Man, I’m sorry. In high school we rode to school every single morning, we hung out every single day. Your truly missed man. I don’t understand why this happened on my bday. On 11/15/2021 at 1:15 pm, I lost my 1st Bestfriend and I still don’t believe it. I know you are in a better place and you will stay in my prayers forever in life. I could keep writing and never stop but I Love you bro and will always love you Rest In Peace Daishon
