Teen, 17, dead 10-weeks-old baby, two others injured in Lasing MI shooting

Police in Lasing are investigating a shooting on the City’s South Side that left a teenage girl dead, and three people including a 10-weeks-old baby injured early Friday morning.

According to the department, officials responded to the scene at Miller Road and Cedar Street at approximately 4:21 a.m. There, they located three teenagers and an injured infant boy inside a vehicle suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot. and an injured infant boy. One of the teenagers, identified only as a 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

An 18-year-old woman, a 16-year-old boy, and the infant boy were transported to an area hospital by responding paramedics. The trios were listed in a critical condition. No words on a possible suspect were immediately disclosed.
