The 40-year-old San Mateo woman was riding as a passenger in a vehicle driven by a suspected drunken driver identified as Tuuika Salt. The 24-year-old San Mateo woman reportedly had a blood-alcohol content that was 2.5 times the legal limit, according to the East Bay Times.
Police arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence. When her passenger died at the hospital, police added gross vehicular manslaughter charges to the driver, police said
