Nursing student Savannah Mathis shot to death near Julian B Lane Park

Savannah Mathis Death – Cause Of Death: 21-year-old Hillsborough County Community College nursing student Savannah Mathis and a 2018 graduate of Plant High School with a 5.0 GPA was shot and killed while riding in a car at Grace Street and N Delaware Avenue in Tampa two blocks from Julian B Lane Park on Wednesday 1st December 2021.

Police located Savannah Mathis was transported to the hospital with severe injuries where she died two days later on Friday 3rd December 2021, her passenger was also struck by a bullet but survived. According to the police, her vehicle was destroyed with bullets causing the vehicle to crash after the shooting.

An investigation is still ongoing at the time of this report. Police are asking anyone with useful information in the homicide investigation to call 813-231-6130 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477 to be eligible for a cash reward.
