Tammy Sue Churchill dies in James City County auto-pedestrian accident

Tammy Sue Churchill Death – Cause of Death :  Tammy Sue Churchill, 49, of James City County has died of injuries suffered from an auto-pedestrian accident. The incident happened on Tuesday night, December 14, 2021, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Pocahontas Trail in James City County, Georgia.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Churchill was putting on dark-colored clothing while attempting to cross the roads in the 7300 block of Pocahontas Trail towards the bus stop when she was seriously struck by a 2014 Honda Odyssey driven by a 37-year-old Chesapeake resident.

Churchill sustained serious injuries and was taken by paramedics to Riverside Doctor’s Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. the Honda driver was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
