Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Tamirat Gebremariam, a talented artist who we were lucky to have had as part of the #AMCFOZ family. Tamirat led workshops at our Arts Hub for the last two years and will be sorely missed. Our condolences to his family and at this difficult time.

With much sadness the Troc committee learned yesterday of the passing of our friend, artist Tamirat Gebremariam. A warm, passionate and giving person, he had a studio at Trocadero, exhibited his beautiful portraits with us, & was a finalist in the 2019 Footscray Art Prize.

We were very saddened to hear of Tamirat Gebremariam’s passing last week. Tamirat was an incredibly kind, modest and gentle person, and a supremely talented painter. We feel privileged to have shown his work on a few occasions at fortyfivedownstairs. He will be greatly missed by Melbourne’s arts community.

All of us at MAV are sad to hear of the passing of Tamirat Gebremariam, an artist of immense talent and generosity who shared his skills and knowledge with many of us over the years. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

It was with much sadness that the Trocadero committee learned yesterday of the recent passing of our friend, artist Tamirat Gebremariam. A warm, passionate and giving person, he had a studio at Trocadero, exhibited his beautiful portraits with us last year, and was a finalist in the 2019 Footscray Art Prize.

Tam dedicated himself to promoting the lives and achievements of African Australians through his art, and spent much of his time teaching art in local communities. He will be greatly missed, and always remembered.

Like so many in our community today, we are saddened by the passing of Tamirat Gebremariam.

We offer our condolences and heartfelt thanks to Tamirat for his enormous contributions to enriching community life through art & culture here and abroad.

Tamirat’s passing is an urgent reminder that Life is so fragile and fleeting. We must, and looking back on Tamirat’s contribution, live every moment to the fullest.

His efforts remind us that we can all make a difference using the skill & talents we have to strengthen relationships and inspire generations.

I am so sorry to hear of the tragic death of our friend Tamirat Gebremariam.

A leading Ethiopian artist and a great mentor of our times, and who has greatly influenced the art scene in the African Australians and across all generations. Tamirat has impacted and inspired many Ethiopian young artists with his extraordinary talent that inspire even today, All the people who knew him greatly respected him and will always keep the memory of his great Art.

We send our deepest condolences to the family, friends, art lovers and his fans upon this time and may God rest in peace and comfort.

More details have not been released about this death, and actual death age and date are yet to confirmed by us. We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
