Paramus Catholic Athletic Department
PC is saddened to learn of the passing of Steve DiGregorio, PC’s head football coach & AD from 01-03. He taught his players not only x’s and o’s, but the life lessons needed to be successful adults. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him.
The world is a little darker today as Steve’s light was extinguished last night. The Lord called him home, leaving the rest of us to carry on his mission. Steve loved faith, family, football, and fairness. For all of us lucky enough to have our lives touched by him, we can honor Steve’s life by leaving our part of the world a little better than we found it. Kindness costs nothing. Be kind. Fight for justice, especially for those who cannot fight for themselves. Whatever you are doing, do it to the best of your ability. His life is a testiment to leaving a far-reaching and beautiful legacy by doing the right thing every day you have here on earth.- Nadia, Zack, Derek, and Aaron

This is another sad day in Nutley. Steve DiGregorio was a close friend for over 50 years. My neighbor growing up, my teammate at Nutley High School, a great history teacher, and one of the best high school football coaches in New Jersey. He taught his players not only the Xs and Os, but the life lessons needed to be successful adults. He helped many student-athletes continue their education in college. My prayers to Nadia, Zack, Derek, and Aaron. He fought a courageous battle. Rest In Peace my friend.
