Ernest Lewis Franklin missing – What happened to this missing and endangered man from NC?

NORTH CAROLINA, US State – A Silver Alert which was issued for a missing and endangered man ha snow been canceled. Ernest Lewis Franklin, an 82-year-old man was earlier reported missing from North Carolina and the law enforcement in the area issued a Silver Alert to help find him. He was reported missing by his worried family who feared he might be in danger.

The last known location of Lewis was given as at his home on Gowans Road in Cerro Gordo on Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021. Investigation into his disappearance shows that he had left his home driving his vehicle which is given as a 2002 Beige Chevy Tahoe with an NC License Plate PKA-5221.

Authorities carried out a search for him after he was reported and also asked the help of the public in finding him. He was registered as an endangered missing elderly person as he reportedly suffers from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Lewis was last seen wearing blue jeans, a Vietnam vet hat, and a royal blue jacket with white stripes.

The Sheriff’s Office did not give details of the situation that led to his disappearance or how he was found. They also thanked all who helped shared.
