          21-year-old man found shot to death in a vehicle on Bronx Street

Sergio Jimenez Death : Authorities say an adult male was found shot to death and a teenage girl injured after an unidentified gunman opened fire on a vehicle in Bronx street Sunday night.

NYPD says officials responded at about10:15 p.m. to a 911 call near the corner of East 171st Street and Townsend Avenue, in the Mount Eden section. Arriving officers located a 21-year-old man later identified as Sergio Jimenez, of Bronx, unresponsive on the driver’s seat of a BMW with a gunshot wound to the head, he was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigation determined that Jimenez and an 18-year-old female victim were sitting in the car when an individual approached the vehicle and opened fire. The teen suffered gunshot wounds to her hand and back. She was transported to a hospital in unknown condition. No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.

The investigation remains active.
