Selena Miller, a registered Franklin County nurse died in an apparent murder-suicide

Selena Miller Death – Cause of Death – 47-year-old Selena Miller, a Nurse who worked at a domestic violence shelter, passed away in an apparent murder-suicide on the 28th of November 2021. According to the police, Miller was in her Franklin County home with her husband Jerry Mowen when state police said they were dispatched in response to reports of a disturbance there. Responding officers found were unable to contact the couple when they entered the home.

When they entered the home, they located the husband and wife in their bedroom, each dead from a single gunshot wound. News outlets revealed that Miller was a registered nurse who worked for the last six years as a nurse advocate for a Franklin County’s women’s shelter that caters to victims of domestic violence. Family members confirmed that there was no hint of violence or abuse in her own marriage and the incident was a shock to many.

The police have not publicly said which spouse was the shooter. The couple’s dog, a German shepherd named Grizzly was also shot to death. Investigations are ongoing at the moment.
