Sean O’Mahony Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Sean O’Mahony.

Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.

This departure was confirmed through social media posts made by Twitter users who pour out tributes, and condolences to the family of the deceased.

RIP Sean O’Mahony aka “Johnny Dean”. Editor and Publisher of two of my favourite magazines “The Beatles Book Monthly” and “Record Collector”. Can’t believe he edited and wrote the columns under the “Johnny Dean” Pseudonym for 30 years! Beatle Roadies Neil Aspinall, Mal Evans & Derek Taylor provided much of the content and he had extremely intimate and exclusive access to the band. He continued publishing Beatles Book Monthly until 2003. I still have many issues

Some very sad news to share…Sean O’Mahony died at home on 21st of July. Deeply loved and cherished husband of Jacqueline, generous and loving father to Josephine and Suzanna and adored grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Sean touched many lives during his career as a magazine publisher of over 20 titles, but is probably best remembered for ‘The Beatles Book Monthly’ magazine, which he edited under the pseudonym ’ Johnny Dean’.

Saddened to learn of the passing of Sean O’Mahony (aka ‘Johnny Dean’), editor and publisher of Beatles Monthly – a pivotal publication in the lives of many of us – on July 21st.

A font of info and intimate photography, BM really was the Beatles ‘social media’ of its day.

We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
