The loss of our friend and co-worker Brendan Kolebaba has weighed heavy on our hearts this week. We would like to thank the community for your understanding and support as our team processes our grief and shock and finds a way forward together. Brendan was the SFBLC’s Assistant Warehouse Manager for many years and he was an important member of the team here at the SFBLC. Brendan had special relationships with many of his coworkers and always made time to share a joke and have a laugh or talk about the latest game played by his favourite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Many thought of Brendan (Brendo) like a big brother. Whether he was teasing us or sharing bits of his life in heartfelt conversations, Brendan had a way of making people feel special. Brendan’s family life was also something he shared with us, and he spoke lovingly and with pride about Kayla and Mickey. Kayla & Mickey, as you walk the road ahead, our hearts go out to you, Brendan’s forever family. We will miss you Brendo. You will always be a part of this place.
