Gwinnett County Police Department lost a new recruit, after suffering a medical emergency during the physical training. Ronald Jean Donat was doing his 2nd day early morning training when he became lethargic and taken to the hospital where he passed away later. Prayers for Ronald’s family and GCPD family.
Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson
I am deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Mr. Ronald Jean Donat, one of our police recruits, who died following a routine training this morning. Like his fellow police officers who chose to serve in Gwinnett County, Mr. Donat and his family shared a commitment to something larger than himself. Please join me in lifting his fiancé and two young children up in prayer. I also ask you to pray for our Police Department and his fellow recruits who had to witness this tragedy unfold today.
