Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.

This departure was confirmed through social media posts made by Twitter users who pour out tributes, and condolences to the family of the deceased.

Was saddened to hear that Legendary F1 designer Ron Tauranac had passed away. The company that he started Ralt was one that made such a presence especially back in the days of F2 – F3 in the 1970’s and 80’s. RIP

Awfully sad news to hear that Ron Tauranac has passed away, every Brabham car begins with BT followed by a number. It stands for Brabham / Tauranac, Ron was a huge part of Brabhams and ultimately my grandad Jacks success. He will be greatly missed by us. Rest in peace Ron

Ron Tauranac. What an extraordinary (& sometimes difficult!) guy he was. Ralt was Ron’s Betamax to March, Lola or Reynard’s VHS – often a better product, never as well marketed. An old breed racer. He helped Jordan re Mugen/Honda politics, being highly regarded at Honda HQ #F1

A sad day with the passing of Ron Tauranac. A great guy who made his mark in the highest category of world racing. Also personally helped me with building his RALT car for my F3 European championship.
Many of my PE staff would remember Ron who came to Melbourne to help us out with our supercars.
Sincere condolences to Rons daughters and family alike.

Our condolences are with the family and friends of Ron Tauranac AO, a legend of Australian and world motorsport who passed away today.

Ron will forever be remembered as the gifted designer who, in partnership with Sir Jack Brabham, created the Brabham racing cars that won countless races and titles. Among them, the Formula 1 World Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships of 1966 and 1967.

Together with his brother Austin, Ron also founded the successful Ralt (Ron & Austin Lewis Tauranac) marque of racing cars.

The Australian Drivers’ Championship and CAMS Gold Star have been won on 13 occasions by Brabham or Ralt cars of Ron’s creation.

Sad to hear that Ron Tauranac has passed away. The “T” in the Brabham nomenclature, he played an integral role in much of Jack Brabham’s success. Then came Trojan and Ralt. I like this tribute by the Aussie illustrator/historian, Brian Caldersmith.

We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
