Tributes To Rob MacDougall
Across social media users’ timelines are statements that show respect, admiration, and gratitude towards MacDougall as people mourn the passing.
Rob MacDougall was many things to so many people, a friend, an artist, a legend really. Rob rented space from a building my business had on Wyecroft Road and would set the alarm off every night after 1AM when he went in to do work, and we would laugh about it every day. We met at TA Blakelock back in mid 70’s, had many debates about everything on the planet, but my favourite memory of Rob was when he took the time to schedule a meeting between my husband and his hero, Don Cherry. He was such a good friend to Scott, giving him the most precious thing, his time. I own the Gord Downey pic that Rob did and it means even more to my 3 suns and I now, we loved it before today and now we will treasure it after today. Love you Rob, say hi to Scott and no roughing it while playing lacrosse up there. xo

It is with great sadness that I learn of the passing of Rob MacDougall. He was one of the most dedicated, committed and generous volunteers and participants in our club. I very much appreciated his genuine and dedicated support during my tenture as president of the OMLA during the day. I say with all sincerity that he was the most interesting, fun, unique and generous characters I ever had the privilege to be a co-volunteer with. The true measure of a person is the number of people who will come forward to praise this wonderful man. Be prepared to appreciate their acknowledgment of his contributions and impact on their lives. RIP Rob… thanks!
