Gutted to hear the passing of Rob Gaylard. Was a lot of help in the years gone by at apprentice school and always doing his bit to promote racing at the country tracks. Rest In Peace mate.

Terribly sad to hear the news on the passing of Rob Gaylard. Rob was an integral part of the AJTP and provided all apprentices with exceptional media training in the early stages of their careers which shows through in their professionalism in front of the the camera.

Was so shocked to hear of the passing of Rob Gaylard today. Such a great commentator and passionate horse enthusiast. Our last conversation ended with him proudly showing me videos of how Chautauqua was coming along.

The world has lost a great soul today. Rob Gaylard was one of the best blokes you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. I was privileged enough to have worked with him for over a decade and I am lucky enough to have been able to call him my friend. Racedays never felt like work with Rob, we would always be laughing, telling jokes and stories from his butchering days. No matter what track we were at we always had time for a chinwag. The countless times you pulled me up on stage without giving me warning and then laughing about it afterwards telling me it was character building. The bonds you made with people is a testament to your character. The racing industry will miss you deeply.

My deepest condolences to Karen, Casey and the family. RIP Rob
