Riyadh Fuqua of Bridgeton dies in Vineland solo-car accident

Riyadh Fuqua Death – Cause of Death : 28-year-old Riyadh Fuqua of Bridgeton has died following injuries suffered from a single-car accident that happened around midnight Sunday, on West Landis Avenue in Vineland. Fuqua died of blunt force trauma injuries suffered from the single-car crash.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Fuqua was driving westbound on West Landis Avenue, west of Mill Road when he lost control of the car, the can then drifted off the roadway, struck a curb followed by an electric pole, and then a tree. The car finally came to a rest on its side. He suffered serious injuries from the crash to which he succumbed to at the scene of the crash.

Fuqua went to Cumberland Regional High School and studied at Rowan College of South Jersey Cumberland Campus. He left behind a young daughter.

In a Facebook post,  Pamela King Perticari wrote “Riyadh Fuqua from Stow Creek days with my son Jay and classmates , my husband and I chaperoned a lot of trips and Riyadh always wanted to be with us if his parents couldn’t go , I will never forget his infectious smile or his laughter , their 8 th grade b-ball team was first in school history to win Hopewell Hawk tournament and Fairfield school tournament , he was ornery like my son but so much fun to be around , rest in gods arms and prayers for your daughter , parents and loved ones”

Investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Traffic Safety Unit at 856-691-4111, ext. 4350.

Riyadh Fuqua’s obituary will be released by his family.
