Richard Rogers, 23yrs, dies after a shooting in East Oakland

Richard Rogers Death – Cause of Death – The 23-year-old Oakland man who died after sustaining life-threatening injuries in a shooting, has been identified as Richard Rogers. The victim died in a hospital on Tuesday morning, 14th of December 2021. The police responded to a ShotSpotter alert at about 2:35 a.m. on Saturday, 11th of December 2021 to reports of a shooting. When they got to the scene, they found Richard suffering from gunshot wounds on the 3100 block of Parker Avenue, near Overlook Avenue in East Oakland.

He was transported to a hospital, where he died just before noon on Tuesday. No arrests have been made, and the shooting remains under investigation. The Mercury News reported that the killing marks the 132nd death being investigated as a homicide by Oakland police this year.
