Richard Dyson missing – Update – Two new arrests made

Richard Dyson missing – detectives have made two new arrests while investigating the disappearance of Barnsley man, Richard Dyson

For the past three weeks now detectives have been investigating the missing person case of 58-year-old Barnsley man, Richard Dyson, who was reported missing from the area since November.

Investigations prove that the 58-year-old went missing on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. Exactly one month today, when he was walking along the A6135 Sheffield Road in Hoyland, at about 11pm. 

His daughter who last saw him on Monday, November 15, 2021, had reported him missing after she didn’t see him for over 10 days. He was reported missing on Thursday, November 25, 2021.

What happened to Richard Dyson?

Apparently Dyson was a victim of murder, as officers had arrested 3 men on suspicion of murder. The 3 men, who are  aged 43, 51 and 68, from Barnsley. And a 67-year-old man from Rotherham was also arrested and were later released under though they are still under investigation.


The detectives investigating the case reportedly made an arrest on Thursday, December 16, 2021. They arrested two Barnsley men, 46 and 48-year-old on the same suspicion of murder. They have also been released under investigation. Authorities are still strongly investigating the case, as they are bent on bringing justice to Dyson’s family.
