Rebels baseball mourns the death of Porter Coates Prescott AZ

Porter Coates Prescott AZ Death – Cause of Death: Porter Coates, 15, of Prescott, Arizona, a freshman at Prescott High School passed away at his home in Prescott. Porter Dennis Coates took his own life on Friday, November 12, 2021. He leaves behind his devastated parents and brother, as well as his various teammates.

Poter was a legendary athlete, according to Porter Dennis Coates’ GoFundMe page. He spent four years as a baseball player for the Prescott Rebels. He was also a member of the PHS freshman football team and a basketball player at Mile High Middle School. Porter was a wonderful young man and a tremendously gifted athlete with a bright future.

David Lloyd wrote on Facebook, “Our dear friends’ son, my boy’s best friend Porter, tragically passed away Friday night. Porter was a wonderful young man and a tremendously gifted athlete with a bright future. He is already sorely missed. If you would all please pray for the Coates family by name, I’m sure the power of your prayers will uplift them. We love you, Alicia and Darren.”

This GoFundMe page was created to help the family pay for funeral costs and other expenses at this difficult time. As of this morning, the fundraiser page has raised $27,943 out of a $10,000 goal. George, Lola, Anna & Family Rizk was the most generous donor, donating $500.
