My dear dear friend Ayşe Rahşan Cebe, a cosmopolitan beauty, an active, intelligent, sophisticated woman with a big heart and a big smile, my closest friend in the years of post graduate studies in London, passed away this morning in Toronto….
Her bright smile will always remain undefeated to shine on me and warm my heart.
Adieu my lovely sista…
I’m positively heartbroken about the loss of my dear friend, Ayşe Rahşan Cebe (far right), after a long-standing battle with cancer. We were just chatting last Friday, making plans for a girlie trip to Turkey and to do many things together to help the community, and how we wanted to introduce our beloved mothers. She’s such a beautiful soul, one of my besties and truly irreplaceable. Here we are at a lovely Amcham dinner she invited me to at the National Club. She served on the board of AMCHAM Canada. Rahsan was also Co-Chair of the LADIESFUND Turkish-Canadian Women’s Association, a huge donor to and supporter of Educate a Girl, and an exceptional woman who always supported and uplifted other women. She was constantly match-making me with every eligible bachelor she knew. She was always very modest about being a descendant of the ruler of the Ottoman Empire. May God give her the highest spot in paradise and bring ease to her family, especially her incredible mother (far left), who was a keynote speaker for #EAGSkinColour, and needs our prayers now. RIP.
Thank you/ Teshekerler AmCham Toronto Director, Past Chair AmCham Turkey Ayşe Rahşan Cebe Hnm for being who you were. A great representation for your people and in particular Turkish women, strong, proud and intelligent. Thank you for your guidance over the last few years to myself and Brampton stakeholders, as we built our business network in Turkey. Rest in eternal peace, you will be missed. Inna Lilah e wa inna elaih e rajiioon. Until we meet again sister.
We are still working on getting more details about the death, as family statement on the death is yet to be released.
