Rachel Louise Carder Death – According to the Kentucky State Police, new details are emerging following the discovery of a dead person in the rear seat of a car that was involved in a police pursuit that came to a conclusion on Interstate 75. Rachel Louise Carder, who was 53 years old at the time of her death, was identified as the victim by the Kentucky State Police (KSP). Following a pursuit that spanned many counties early on Wednesday, the Florida State Police arrested David Maurice Reed, who is 54 years old and from St. Petersburg. The body of Carder was found in his SUV.

Reed has been charged with murder-domestic violence, tampering with physical evidence, abuse of a corpse, fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief, wanton endangerment, careless driving, resisting arrest, and having no operator’s license. Reed is said to have been traveling in Madison County when the police were notified that he was swerving in the traffic, as stated in the citation that led to his arrest. After pausing for a moment, he took off running. The law enforcement officers were eventually successful in bringing him to a stop on Interstate 75 in Laurel County.

They found Carder’s body inside of a plastic tote when they were searching through Reed’s SUV. They claim that there was facial damage as well as other injuries to her body, including evidence that something on her body was caused by an edged weapon. According to the police, Reed had what seemed to be crimson blood streaks on him. Reed allegedly admitted to fighting with Carder in a hotel room near the highway, but he did not specify where in the hotel room the incident took place, according to the police. According to the police, they do not know where she died or how she died.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for a suspect in a homicide who they describe as armed and dangerous. On Friday afternoon, police say that a man named Bailey Smith, who was 56 years old, fatally shot another man on Old Crab Orchard Road. They allege that Smith and the victim had been arguing prior to the incident, which prompted Smith to open fire. It has not been determined who the victim is at this time.
