Rachel Long Obituary – Death : We are deeply saddened to learn that Rachel Long of Alabama passed away in a tragic accident on Thursday October 7, 2021. It was reported that she died leaving families, friends and loved ones in great grief and fear.
She was a perfect example of what it means to be a wonderful person. She had a calming presence and was extremely kind, she touched the hearts of so many, and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Causes of Rachel Long’s Death…
Rachel Long was involved in a fatal accident that took her life. At the moment, no information has been received from the family as they are observing their difficult times.
The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of death had not been made public as at the time of writing this report. Investigation is still on-going to know the actual cause of death.
She dedicated her life to teaching and showing children the love of Jesus. She couldn’t go anywhere without running into some little person who wanted to hug her. I doubt she knew the impact she had on so many people. She would probably laugh and say she wasn’t anything special…but she was.
I know I’m not alone in mourning the loss of Rachel Long today. It just seems so wrong to lose her in a tragic accident. She was such a sweet, patient, gentle soul. I figured she would live a hundred years, and spend most of them in the presence of countless little children that she loved.
Everyone in Pleasant Grove knew Mrs. Rachel. She dedicated her life to teaching and showing children the love of Jesus. She couldn’t go anywhere without running into some little person who wanted to hug her. I doubt she knew the impact she had on so many people. She would probably laugh and say she wasn’t anything special…but she was. Let me tell you, the woman spent 20+ hours a week with my son at the peak of his badness (age 4), and never once lost her mind with him. “He’s all boy” she would say. “I love his big heart.” “He is full of energy.” “His body is just faster than his brain sometimes.” “You should hear him pray..it melts my heart!” “You never know what’s going to come out of his mouth. He cracks me up.” “I love his personality!” The woman said things only a saint could say about a rambunctious preschool boy with ADHD. I loved her so much for that.
The past year and a half she suffered many hard losses, yet her faith remained strong and steady (even when she was mad). I have no doubt she’s with Jesus now and for that I’m thankful. May she rest in peace. Her work here is done. My heart hurts though, especially for her family that’s already been through so much heartache. Please remember them in your prayers tonight and in the future.
