I am not certain what kind of test this family is being subjected to but the hits seem to keep coming. After not hearing from my nephew Jason for a few days and repeated calls with no answer etc. I was in Winnipeg and with other family members went by the house but could not get an answer so arranged for a wellness check due to our fears and apprehension. Unfortunately, those fears were justified and Jason was found deceased. If you don’t know or recall, Jason was in a coma shortly after his Dad’s passing and was not expected to live. He did but the result was a brain injury that took it’s toll on him as he could not function the way he previously had and he was aware of that. The brain injury was very frustrating for him and that combined with an addiction issue as well as severe depression had an outcome that was devastating and ended our loss of our talented and normally loving man. Please hold your loved ones close everyday. Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. R.I.P. when I was young The Rupness Monsta was one of my favourite rappers out of Winnipeg. And as I got older, I saw him to be one of the most hard working and talented hip hop artists in Winnipeg. We found out we were neighbours around the time I tore my Achilles. When I got to know Rup, the short time I hung out with him I learned that he was a rare dude that loved and understood music in a deep and fluent way. To me this is why his production was so intricate, and rich. and why I especially loved his drums. Genuinely one of the most talented people I’ve ever met, and a dope guy too. I’m truly saddened by the news of his passing. R.I.P. Rup Monsta
