Phil Maier Death – Cause of Death – Deputy director of South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Phil Maier has passed away. Reports mentioned that Maier died on Tuesday, 7th of December 2021 after going through an intense case of a rare and aggressive cancer. Maier was made the Deputy Director for Marine Resources after recently serving the agency (SCDNR) for 30 years.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) is a South Carolina state agency charged with regulating hunting, fishing, boating, duck stamp orders, and the conservation efforts of the state government. It is directed by seven-member Board of Directors. According to CountOnNews2, in 1986, Maier moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston and later joined the SCDNR through his graduate studies.
He joined the agency as a graduate assistant and was deeply and greatly loved by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources family. Reports states that Maier became the sixth director of the state’s Marine Division in 2020. He will be deeply missed.
