Broyhill Furniture Industries used to be his company’s chairman. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina. He also spent three years in the US Army as an infantry sergeant. He received honors in Business Administration and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Paul was a marketing pioneer who sought national exposure through game shows and shelter magazines. He visited more than 250 Broyhill Showcase Galleries in person.
He served on the AFMA Board of Directors and was named “Man of the Year” in 1996. He was also a member of the National Association of Manufacturers and the Dallas Market Center.
His philanthropy is extensive, with pages of educational and religious grants.
