Archbishop Oscar H. Lipscomb, Mobile’s first archbishop, passed away this morning at the age of 88. We are fortunate to play our home games at the stadium named after him. Our hearts go out to all who mourn their loss. Rest in peace.

May the soul of our dear friend, Archbishop Oscar Lipscomb of Mobile rest in peace. He and Deacon Alexander Moore prepared Kanobia and me for marriage. I am grateful he accompanied me and my family. May his wonderful works in this life, speak for him! I’m eternally grateful for his support of my work in liturgy, social ministry, and leadership.

Words cannot express how much I’ll continue to miss him, Bishop David Foley, and Divine Word Bishop Dominic Carmon. It seems like just yesterday all us were gathered in the Cathedral sacristy upon my return from South Korea. #RequiescatInPace
