Beloit WI shooting – The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is working to understand the motive of a shooting in Beloit WI that left a person dead, and six others injured Thursday evening.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from altercations at a house party. Responding officers discovered a number of weapons at the scene of the incident, which happened at about 6 p.m. Thursday, officers from the Beloit Police Department and deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office responded to shots fired report in the 1900 block of Porter Avenue.
Arriving officers located three persons at the scene suffering from gunshot injuries to their bodies. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of the gunshot victims were transported to the Beloit ER and continue to receive medical treatment at UW Health and Mercyhealth for life-threatening injuries.
Three other self transported to the hospital in unknown conditions.
