Nicholas Lasseigne dies in three-vehicle crash on US 61, near St. Amant

Nicholas Lasseigne Death – Cause of Death : On Saturday night, December 11, 2021, 32-year-old Nicholas Lasseigne, of Paulina was involved in a three-vehicle accident that took his life. The crash occurred on US 61 south of I-10 near St. Amant, Louisiana at approximately7 p.m. He died of blunt force trauma injuries suffered from the three-vehicle collision.

According to officials, Lasseigne was operating a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle southbound on US 61, on nearing the stopped traffic, he could not slow down and crash into the back of a 2017 Honda Pilot before the motorcycle was crashed into by a 2017 Nissan Versa that was also traveling southbound on US 61.

Despite wearing the approved DOT helmet, Lasseigne still suffered serious injuries and was and was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the drivers of the two other vehicles were not injured. There were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Blood samples were collected from the three drivers and submitted for analysis.

Investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing.

Nicholas Lasseigne’s obituary will be released by his family.
