Najee Woods Death- The man who was murdered by gunshot on Tuesday in the Encanto neighborhood near a trolley station has been identified, according to the authorities there. Lt. Adam Sharki of the San Diego Police Department revealed in a news release on Thursday that the deceased person has been identified as Najee Woods, who was 23 years old and lived in San Diego.
Victim pronounced dead
According to the police, officers went to reports of gunfire at approximately 9:16 p.m. in the 6200 block of Akins Street, where they discovered a man who had been wounded in the upper torso. Woods was pronounced dead at the site despite the efforts of the first responders who were attempting to save the victim’s life.
The authorities suspect that Woods was shot while he was strolling along the north sidewalk on Akins Street and that the shooting was carried out by a vehicle that had pulled up close to him. On Friday evening in the Barrio Logan district of San Diego, a man was found dead after being involved in an accident with a trolley. At approximately 9:27 p.m., officers from the San Diego Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of Sampson Street. Once there, they discovered that the victim was operating a 1969 GMC truck in the eastbound direction on Sampson near Harbor Drive.
According to Sergeant Clint Leisz, the victim drove into the path of the trolley after attempting to drive around the downed crossing arms of the trolley by entering the westbound lane of traffic. However, the victim ended up driving into the path of the trolley. The vehicle was damaged by the trolley on the right side, and it then collided with a pole that was located on the left side of the trolley lines.
According to Leisz, the driver of the GMC vehicle was found to be deceased at the scene of the accident. According to the San Diego police, there were no injuries reported among the trolley’s riders.
