Captain Mike Paidar Death – Dead | Obituary – Passed Away

Mike Paidar Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Mike Paidar.

Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.

This departure was confirmed through social media posts made by Twitter users who pour out tributes, and condolences to the family of the deceased.

We lost a good man today. Mike Paidar was a great photojournalist at KSTP-TV who went on to be a brave firefighter with the St. Paul Fire Department. He died this afternoon after a six-month illness. Mike was a proud Iowa boy. He was as big as a house with an even bigger heart. I traveled with Mike on many stories throughout Minnesota, Iowa and across the country with Governor Jesse Ventura. We had a lot of laughs along the way. Mike actually knew my wife in college before I met him at KSTP. He ALWAYS enjoyed reminding me my wife dated his basketball teammate in college…ALWAYS with a classic mischievous Paidar smile. Mike was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and an adopted Twins fan who I’m guessing had his hopes set on a Cubs-Twins World Series. He’ll have the best seat in the house if that happens! My condolences to Mike’s wife Julie and his son Matt and daughter Meghan.

Today is a sad day. Captain Paidar left earth to a more heavenly place after a courageous battle with cancer. I will miss Mike and his big smile. Glad he was a part of my life. God rest his soul. Amen.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we learned this afternoon that Mike Paidar our brother firefighter, St Paul Fire Medic and Maple Grove Station 5 Captain lost his courageous battle with cancer.

Mike was diagnosed earlier this year with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, a rapidly progressing form of cancer. Recently Mike was admitted to the University of Minnesota hospital where doctors discovered the cancer had spread. Unfortunately, treatment efforts were not successful and Mike passed away earlier today.

Mike loved serving his community and will be greatly missed by all of his brothers and sisters in his extended fire family. We send our thoughts and prayers to Mike’s family during this time of loss.
