Michele Poulik, who was a set decorator and also worked for several TV series and motion pictures has died on Tuesday, August 2, 2021, at her home in Los Angeles, California.
She passed away after a long battle with cancer, according to Set Decorators on Twitter.
She was survived by her sister Janet and her brother-in-law, Bruce Babiarz. She was surrounded by her family, friends, and beloved dogs, Lula and Daisy, during the time of her death.
he was born to her parents Dr. David Poulik and Emily Poulik in Toronto, Canada. Michele attended school in Grosse Pointes North, Spain, and spent several summers in Europe.
She attended and graduated with a Fine Arts degree from Wayne State University.
She started her film career by producing and writing, Singing Birds, an independent film that premiered at the Detroit Institute of Arts. She then worked on Presumed Innocent before moving to Los Angeles for work.
Poulik was a set decorator who worked for several TV series and motion pictures. She had served for decades and was nominated for an EMMY.
Michele had also worked on other movies and TV shows including, The Comeback, Eli Stone, and The Shield.
Michele was an important part of the CBS crime drama NCIS LA for more than a decade.
She worked as a set decorator for more than 280 episodes and made sure that every location looked perfect for the rest of the cast to inhabit it.
At the end of NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 premiere, a card tribute to Michele Poulik was used to honor her and her valuable contributions to the TV world and the show before the credits. The title card said Poulik’s smile, laughter, and presence lit up every day.
