Tom Rashid Death – Cause Of Death: Michigan High School Athletic Association associates director Tom Rashid has passed away on Friday 3rd December 2021 at the age of 66 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Tom Rashid’s death was announced by the MHSAA on their Twitter page on Saturday 4th December 2021.
He was born on October 25th in the year 1955, according to the MHSAA “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tom Rashid, associate director at the MHSAA. He was one of the most passionate, courageous, and dedicated individuals. Tom was a longtime member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association. Tom was the Board of Directors for the Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association for twelve years from 1988 to 2000 and in the year 1998, he served as their president
Tom attended St. Alphonsus High School in Dearborn where he graduated in the year 1973. He studied at Eastern Michigan University where he gained his bachelor’s degree in history and proceeded to the University of Michigan-Dearborn where he obtained his master’s degree in urban education. In the year 1977, Tom served as the athletic director at St. Alphonsus, a position he held for seven years before he became the assistant director in the Catholic League staff in December 1987. He will be tremendously missed.
