Mervyn Pressaugh Death – Dead | Obituary – Passed Away

Mervyn Pressaugh Death – Dead: A great loss was made known to InsideEko. As friends and families of the deceased are mourning the passing of their loved and cherished Mervyn Pressaugh.

Having heard about this great loss, the family of this individual is passing through pains, mourning the unexpected passing of their beloved.

This departure was confirmed through social media posts made by Twitter users who pour out tributes, and condolences to the family of the deceased.

IN MEMORY OF Mervyn Pressaugh R.I.P – dear Mervyn playing his F flute in the back row and i had given him some nice chromaticism in ‘The Pink Panther’ – not sure he appreciated it but he certainly appreciated the win. Some fond memories of Melvyn and i remember him coming to my house for lessons on the concert flute, which was a joy. He even guested with Roses Lane End Flute band and Ormeau concert band for me on occasions. As a conductor i always appreciated the support that he showed me, you could always expect some humorous comments from him during rehearsals and anyone who knows how hard i work a band, in order to lift the standard of performance both technically and musically, will know how much that was often needed!!!

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of one of our founder members, Mervyn Pressaugh. Although Mervyn’s health had not been good for a number of years he still maintained an interest with the Band and attended events when able. He was delighted that he was able to play a part in this year’s ‘twelfth’ when he joined the Band to play at Lagan Valley Hospital. We extend our deepest sympathies to his Brother Freddie and the Family circle. Safe in the arms.

We are still working on getting more details about the death, as a family statement on the death is yet to be released.
