Matthew Krenz of Star Prairie, WI dies in Farmington Twp solo-car accident

Matthew Joseph Krenz Death – Cause of Death:  Matthew Joseph Krenz, of Star Prairie, Wisconsin has been identified by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office as the man that lost his life in a single-car accident. The crash occurred on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at approximately 4:14 pm on 220th Street in the Town of Farmington in Polk County, Wisconsin.

According to officials, Krenz was driving a red 2003 Ford F-350 northbound on 220th Street from 10th Avenue when he lost control of the car, accelerating up the hill. The car then traveled sideways, veered off the centreline, drove into the west ditch before overturning. Following the crash, Krenz sustained serious injuries and died at the scene of the crash. The crash left the car with extensive damage. Krenz was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Matthew Joseph Krenz’s obituary will be released by his family.

Farmington is a town in Polk County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,625 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of East Farmington and Horse Creek are located in the town. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 44.9 square miles (116.3 km2), of which, 44.0 square miles (113.9 km2) of it is land and 0.9 square miles (2.4 km2) of it (2.07%) is water.
