Matt Swaby Cause of Death – Passed Away: Matt Swaby, former Western Hockey League player has died. Matt Swaby from Prince Albert tragically passed away in a farming accident last Friday, November 26, 2021. Matt Swaby leaves behind his loving wife Carla and their three boys Thomas, 6, Blake, 4 and Kody 2.

Matt Swaby played for the Huskies and the Prince Albert Mintos in AAA hockey. From 2004 to 2007, he was a member of the Tri-City Americans, and in 2007-2008, he was a member of the Edmonton Oil Kings. From 2008 to 2011, he played three seasons with the Saskatchewan Huskies.

This GoFundMe page was created to help the family pay for funeral costs and other expenses at this difficult time. As of this morning, the fundraiser page has raised $150,486 out of a $175,000 goal. Price Family was the most generous donor, donating $3,000. In a statement published on the page, money generated from the donation will go to Matt’ wife and his children. “Your support will help Carla and the boys with the funeral, ranch expenses, education and hopefully some things that can bring Carla and the boys a smile,” statement on the page says.

“So, so sad! May Matt Rest In Peace! May Our Heavenly Father Wrap His Loving Arms Around His Wife and Children Giving Them Love, Comfort, Support and Peace,” Polly Ann Sereda wrote on Facebook.

Matt Swaby obituary and funeral arrangements will be released by his family.
