Mark Reiland Death: Iowa city wrestling coach dies at 52

Mark Reiland death – passed away: Mark Reiland, 52-year-old, of Iowa City, Iowa, a Head Coach Wrestling died on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. He was a two-time state champion at Eagle Grove High School and a University of Iowa national titleholder, who was inducted into the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2010, and the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2016.

He is a native of Eagle Grove, Iowa. He went to Eagle Grove High School. He attended Iowa Central Community College from August 1986 to 1987. He studied Economics at the University of Iowa in 1987. He was a Head coach at Iowa City West High School from 1999 to March 2018. He was a Regional Director at Vi from 2016 to 2018.

He was currently working with RWH Real Estate LLC which he started in 2008 and Board of directors at USA Wrestling which he started in 2004 until his demise. He also served as Board of directors at Iowa/USA Wrestling from 1998 until he passed away. He worked at Greco-Roman wrestling and also worked at United World Wrestling.  He is survived by his parents Marv and Marlys, and his beloved wife, Michele.
