Maren Garsch death – cause of death: Maren Garsch, of Toronto, Ontario, and an alumni University of Western Ontario Rowing passed away. Jennifer Broxterman the owner & Registered Dietitian @ NutritionRx-Foods & Nutrition Professor @ Brescia/Western University shared the news of her death on Facebook on Tuesday, December 14, 2021.

While announcing her death Jennifer wrote that RIP Maren Garsch. Cancer sucks. I’ll always remember that feeling when we made our 2- fly down the course at the Kingston Rowing Club

She is a native of Kingston, Ontario, and a daughter to Mary Helen Garsch of Kingston, Ontario, a Canadian city on Lake Ontario, at the mouth of the Cataraqui and St. Lawrence rivers. It’s known as the “Limestone City” for its grand 19th-century buildings, including the lakeside Kingston City Hall. The grand house and gardens of the Bellevue House National Historic Site commemorate Canada’s first prime minister, Sir John A. Macdonald. Fort Henry, built in the 1800s, holds military demonstrations.

The Western Washington University Women’s Rowing team has currently won the NCAA Division II National Championships for the last 5 years, for the 2005 through 2009 seasons. Their fifth win was accomplished on June 1 in Sacramento, CA on Lake Natoma.

Maren Garsch’s obituary will be organized by the family.
