Man injured in Van Nuys robbery led shooting

Authorities are investigating after a man was found shot in the right arm and traumatic injuries to the head during a robbery incident in Van Nuys on Monday night.

The shooting happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening on Monroe Place. Responding officers located a victim identified only as a 30-year-old man at the scene suffering from gunshot injuries to the arm and some bruises to the head.

He was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition. Investigators determined that the shooting may have stemmed from a possible robbery attempt inside the presidential apartment. Three suspect persons were taken into custody from the scene without incident.
